Wedding Ceremony

Although the traditional church wedding is still the most predominate wedding ceremony, many non-traditional wedding venues have become popular over the years.  One such venue is the beach wedding.  For some, the idea of getting married outdoors with the wind in your hair, the sand between your toes, and the sun setting over the scene is very appealing.    I can’t fault them for that.  But if you are going to have an outdoor wedding, or any wedding for that matter, there are several things you will need to consider.

It's all about the weather - Especially for an outdoor wedding, the weather has a tremendous impact on the success of the event.  Now most people plan their wedding a year in advance, and nobody has a crystal ball to tell them what future weather conditions will be.  But there are some precautions you can take.  Many areas have seasons where the weather is more unpredictable than at other times.  The hurricane season in the South, the flooding season in the Midwest, and the El Nino weather pattern that hits the West are just a few examples.  It’s important to know the wether patterns in your area and plan your ceremony accordingly.

You can’t have a beach wedding without a party – If your wedding is a themed wedding, let’s say a Hawaiian Luau theme, then you might want to serve fruity drinks with umbrellas in them to enhance the theme.  Have the wedding party dress in loud Hawaiian shirts, and have hula dancers dancing to the laid back music of the paradise.  But if the wedding is just intended to be laid back and easy, simple drinks would be better for the occasion.  You really can never go wrong with a nice wine, and good beer.  Coupled with a nice band, you can’t go wrong with a simple celebration.
No matter what type of ceremony you decide to have, you are going to have to figure out how to pay for it.  The times of Grooms getting a dowry, or the brides parents always paying for the wedding are going by the waste side.  Many couple have to pay for their own wedding.  One way to make sure you have the funds for the wedding of your dreams is to get a loan.  There are many lending companies out there that have specific products geared towards paying for weddings.

Don't Forget to Register

It's an age old tradition to give gifts to a couple on their wedding day.  Where husbnads used to get a dowry, now couple get to register at their favorite stores to let friends and family know what they could acutally use.  The other side of it is that it really relieves the stress of gift giving from wedding goers.  It really is a win-win situation.  Here's a great wedding registery resource for you to check out.

By the way, have you heard that you can get a wedding loan to have the wedding of your dreams?  I never knew that it was possible to get a loan for a wedding.  There are actually lenders out there that have products specifically for wedding loans.  Just research them for yourself.
